It has continued to be in the 80s most days here, except for a rare couple of days the past two weeks, so we will call this edition “faking fall.” I’d love to be cozied up in cardigans and sweaters, but it’s mostly short sleeves and sleeveless tops.
Most of these outfits are appropriate for errands and casual outings. I also have my work wear included again, as usual.
Work from home- I recently dipped my toe into the cropped wide leg pants trend. I was surprised at how much I like these pants. I’m really not built for high rise pants, but the recent weight loss has allowed me to wear them without feeling smushed. I did pull the blouse out some to create the look of a longer torso, and you will likely never see me wear these with a blouse tucked in.
Work from home
I’ve become a little obsessed with knotted headbands lately. It’s an easy way to add something extra to an outfit when it’s still too hot for layers.
Work from home- Two of my favorite pieces- NYDJ and this dolman sleeve blouse from Amazon
Sunday afternoon I didn’t go anywhere but once I got dressed I decided to put together something I would wear out. This was the result.
Work from home/ errands
I really like the look of light wash jeans, but I’m going to have to search for replacements. These are now too big and are sliding down and terribly uncomfortable after a few hours. Weight loss is rewarding but frustrating when you have clothes you loved but have to replace them and aren’t sure what size to go to or what size you will end up at. At least most of my Old Navy purchases are with rewards and I’ve spent very little on them.
A day at the office
Fortunately, these grey pants aren’t so baggy that I can’t get by with them. I have a very limited number of pants I can wear to work, so you may see several repeats in the weeks to come with work wear.
Another day at the office
I have added a new pair of work pants to my closet so I can have a few that don’t just hang on me. Both of these pieces come from Banana Republic, but both will work well on their own in future outfits.
Work from home/ haircut
I enjoyed a work from home day in a tshirt and jeans. An outfit of a tshirt and jeans always feels plain to me but with a graphic tee it’s not so plain. I also tried this look with a utility jacket just in case I needed a layer when I went for a haircut that evening. ( I didn’t need the jacket.)
Work from home
I wore the graphic tee again but with a plaid shirt over it because the temps dropped a bit.

Sunday shopping trip
We took a trip to Sam’s to restock the freezer and pantry. It was pretty warm again but I will not be defeated in wearing fall outfits, lol. I paired this fall colored tee with straight leg jeans and booties. I also grabbed these feather earrings that I’ve had for years and never worn. Feathers are supposed to be trendy again. I bought these the last time feathers were an item but didn’t wear them. I noticed them in my jewelry drawer and decided they would work well with this outfit. Otherwise, this was a pretty basic outfit, and you know me, I can’t just be basic or neutral!
