Hello and welcome to another edition of What I Wore Lately. This is way overdue but life happens.
This edition is a mixture of fall work wear and casual fall outfits. Most of my casual outfits feature straight leg jeans as I have been embracing them more and more. I had gotten into a rut of wearing neutrals and the same pieces over and over so I tried to pull in a few more colors and pieces, focusing on colors of the fall season.
Fall Work Wear
Solid color blazer+ grey sweater+ black pants+ burgundy shoes
Still a little neutral with this one but I pulled in some burgundy. It wasn’t until I started typing this up that I realized this look is mostly JCrew Factory.
Plaid blazer + black top + camel pants + black shoes
Another neutral look but plaid is a great way to give some interest to neutrals.
Leopard blazer + olive top + rust pants + loafers
This is where I really changed up from the neutral looks I had been wearing. Of course, my work wear stays pretty tame because my work environment is pretty conservative, but I can get away with wearing outfits like this on certain days.
Blazer- Loft; option; top- Target/old; pants- Loft; shoes- Target/old.
Knit Moto Blazer + fuschia sweater + gingham pants + black loafers
I added one of fall’s brightest colors and some pattern for a little interest in the outfit. Out of habit, I almost reached for my black blazer and then I saw this moto blazer.
Navy Blazer + mustard sweater + tan pants + leopard pumps
This is my favorite of these outfits. The sweater and leopard pumps were made for each other and this blazer and these pants always work well together.
Suede moto + solid blouse + plaid pants
I decided to wear this jacket to the office so I can get more wear from it. It was one of my Nordstrom Anniversary sale purchases. A soft moto without chunky zippers and pulls works for the office. It’s hard to see the plaid detail in these pants but they have a hint of cognac, cobalt and green.
Gingham blazer + mustard top + grey pants
These grey pants are a work horse in my work wardrobe.
Blazer- Banana Republic- option; pants- Ann Taylor; top- Kohls/old; loafers Dr. Scholl’s
Casual Fall Outfits
Plaid shirt + waffle knit top + straight leg jeans + sneakers
Plaid shirts have been my go to for a fall uniform.
Puff sleeve hoodie+straight leg jeans+ sneakers
The Vann’s were a clearance find at Academy Sports and I could not resist.
Lace trim top + jeans + mules
Our weather fluctuates from hot to cold all fall and winter. This was a warm day and I wore this around the house after taking some blog photos.
Top- Target; jeans- Wit and Wisdom
Shirt+vest+crop flare jeans+ lug sole boots
Back to colder weather.
Sweater vest + tee + straight leg jeans + sneakers
I wore this for Thanksgiving. It was a mild day and I knew it would be hot in my parent’s house because they seem to always be cold. I was tired from the week we had with my Daddy being sick and I didn’t want to hear any hard sole shoes clanking on their hard floors when I was moving around their house. Comfy jeans and sneakers won out.
