Gingham- it’s a summer favorite of mine. Gingham in bright colors scream summer and gingham in the darker colors screams fall. I have a couple of bright gingham shirts, but mostly stick to the darker prints. Gingham looks great on just about any piece you can imagine.
Here are three ways to wear gingham.

1- A gingham skirt or bottoms– Shorts and pants work equally well in an outfit like this too. I purchased this skirt last year and it’s a favorite. I love the feminine bow.
I stuck with the classic black and white color palette here and added pops of color with the earrings and shoes, but this skirt looks great paired with a bright top too.

2- A gingham blazer If you want to take gingham to the work place, a gingham blazer is the piece to have. I’ve paired a gingham blazer with a floral top and black pants for a little pattern mixing.
I need to branch out and wear this blazer with jeans too. Maybe in the fall I’ll put together a more casual jeans outfit. I know it would work equally as well, and if your workplace allows jeans, a gingham blazer is the perfect way to polish up jeans a bit.

3- Gingham shoes- If the print is too much for you in a normal piece of clothing, try some fun gingham shoes. I paired these gingham mules with this butterfly print top for more pattern mixing, but this time in a fun casual outfit. I love the light wash jeans for summer and the sharp contrast of black against the light blue.

These are just a few of the many ways to wear gingham. You can wear a lot of it or just a little at the time. It’s a great print to try patterning mixing with as well.
