Pastels like lavender have typically been reserved for winter or spring, but this year we are seeing lavender for fall. It’s an unexpected fall color trend, but it’s good news for those of us that don’t quite want to give up the spring/summer pieces or who are forced by nature to keep wearing the summer pieces.
Make lavender a little more autumnal by pairing it with fall colors like greens and olives. I think it will also play well with rust and mustard colors, depending on how you mix them. Rust, as well as green, is also a 2019 fall color trend.
I paired this peplum top in lavender with crop flare jeans and cognac sandals. If your temps have already cooled down, swap the sandals for cognac booties. An olive utility jacket makes a great layering piece with lavender if you need another layer. I chose olive accessories, and love how they look against the lavender.
