A beach vacation is usually a time to take a break from the well thought out, well put together outfits and time to relax in casual clothes. That doesn’t mean you can’t still look put together. Beach outfits can be both relaxed and put together.

Slip off your sandals and take a walk on the beach. I recommend and opt for cute slide sandals for the beach over flip flops. Slide sandals usually take an outfit up a notch but are still easily removable for dipping your toes in the water.
These shorts are also great for making an outfit out of your swimsuit. A one piece swimsuit can be treated like a bodysuit while on vacation or at the beach for the day and can be the perfect base for your beach outfits. You will always be pool, beach or dinner ready.

Another cute but simple beach outfit is a one piece bathing suit (or tank top or body suit) and wide leg linen pants. Linen pants are cool and comfy and easy to slip on over your swimsuit when it’s time to enjoy a meal or participate in a a fun activity. Put put golf, anyone?

If you are just headed to the beach for the day for brunch or lunch, or if you need more arm coverage, add a kimono and a floppy hat for sun protection. If you don’t need your swimsuit, sub a tank top for a stylish beach outfit.

Another item to include in your list of outfits to wear to the beach is a romper or jumpsuit. You can easily pull a knit romper on over your swimsuit and be ready for activities. A romper is easy to dress up with other pieces you might pack for your vacation like a kimono or denim jacket.
