Don’t let that stripe of color stump you. I get in a mindset that I have to match that color in my plaid pants, but really you don’t. Go for something that coordinates with it or is a varying shade of the color. I’ve had these pants for a couple of years. They have burgundy and lavender in the plaid. I’ve worked with the lavender color before by pairing them with a lavender top.
This time I decided to work off the burgundy. While my shoes match the color pretty closely and pull it out, I went with a different shade of pink for my top. Similar color family, but not the same color. So don’t let those colors in plaid limit your options. Work with them and you will find the easiest way to style plaid pants. Plaid is on trend this year but it’s also a fall classic.
