February is National Chocolate Lover’s Month. No wonder, with Valentine’s Day right in the middle. I love chocolate, especially with caramels in the center, and I also love chocolate brown in my wardrobe. You might find it boring and difficult to style, but it really pairs well with a variety of colors. Along with today’s outfit, I’ve got five ways to style brown pants for you.

I must have been thinking of chocolate and caramels when I put this look together. Actually, the camel blazer is one of my fall and winter go to pieces and it pairs beautifully with brown pants. Pink and burgundy pair well with brown too, so I went with this soft pink sweater and the burgundy pumps for a little contrast. Rose gold accessories finish off this look.
I’ve been through at least three pairs of brown pants over the years, and the current pair is a couple of years old from JCPenney. You will see a variety of the three pairs in the looks below. Brown pants have been so versatile for me, I’m sure I could have pulled more than five looks from the archives.
1- Brown+blush pink+camel- This look was covered above.
2- Burgundy+Camel+leopard– A camel sweater always works with brown pants and a burgundy blazer gives the outfit some color.
3- Teal+brown – Teal is another favorite color of mine to pair with brown. Green works well in this mix too. Think earthy tones and nature.
4- Chocolate Brown +mustard– Another beautiful combination, especially for fall. Notice the mix of greens and blues in the top too.
5- Chocolate Brown + hot pink– Brown and camel again but this time with hot pink accents. Interject some color into a winter outfit by pairing brown with hot pink.
Brown is a versatile color that transitions well from season to season- paired with orange and mustard for fall, hot pink and camel for winter, blue and greens for spring and summer.
