This month Jennie chose “yellow” as our theme. I happen to have this new yellow floral blouse in my closet that needs some attention, so it was perfect for a post on how to wear yellow.
Yellow is sometimes a difficult color for people to wear but it’s easier if you know whether cool or warm shades flatter your skin and work from there. As a blonde, I usually look better in cool shades. While yellows usually work better for warm skin tones, I’ve grounded this yellow top with a green jacket that works for me. This top is also a cool, lemony shade of yellow which works better for cool tones.
Pairing yellow sparingly with another color that suits you is one way to wear it. Cool skin tones can pull off pastel yellows easier than other shades of yellow.
Wearing yellow on the bottom away from your face or using yellow accessories are other easy ways to wear the color.

If all yellow is just too much of a good thing for you, balance it out with darker shades like I did here with the navy pants.
Don’t shy away from yellow. It’s been a popular color for the spring and summer seasons last year and again this year. It symbolizes energy and warmth. Yellow is uplifting and offers hope and cheerfulness.
