Is the garden under full sun or have a shade? What is the temperature like? Is the wedding more formal and coming up in a public outdoor garden? Or is it less formal, and the venue is just a private residence or a backyard garden?

Before planning your outfit for a garden wedding, do your homework. Is it going to be cold? Bring a stylish cover-up or a light jacket. Will it take place in a grassy area? Instead of stilettos, opt for stylish sandals, wedges, or block heels—you wouldn’t want your expensive heels to sink in muck, would you? But while any hue that compliments the wedding theme is acceptable, white should be avoided at all costs. The color is reserved for the bride unless she specifically wishes that you arrive in white.
Also avoid wearing the same color as the wedding party if you can find out the wedding colors ahead of time.
