I only completed four books in July. I did a little more reading that that but I haven’t finished a couple of the books I started. They are on finances so I’m definitely not eager to blow through them, but will get them done out of necessity.
The books I read or listened to were all entertaining.
Welcome to Serenity (Sweet Magnolias #4) Sherryl Woods
This is the fourth book in this series. I still love the characters and loved the new characters that were introduced and developed. Serenity has a new town manager and Jeanette, the fourth member of the Sweet Magnolias who works at the spa, finds herself working with him on a Christmas committee for the town decorations and events. Neither of them likes Christmas because of past family hurts, but they definitely like each other. Jeanette denies that truth for a long time and constantly turns him down. I listened via Scribd. 4 stars.
The Better Sister by Alafair Burke
Chloe and Nicky are two sisters who are total opposites in achievement. Chloe is successful and Nicky is only successful at being an addict and failure. Chloe is now married to Nicky’s ex-husband and rearing Nicky’s child. The two sisters are thrown back together when the husband is murdered and the police suspect Ethan, Adam and Nicky’s son of being the murderer. As a trial progresses Chloe’s picture perfect life begins to unravel and unknown truths come out. Chloe and Nicky make some amends as well. Read and listened via Scribd. 4 stars
The Seven Day Switch by Kelly Harms
I loved The Overdue Life of Amy Byler so I was eager to read this one. However, I almost gave up in the first few chapters because Wendy was such a snot. As the book progresses, Wendy’s character becomes more sympathetic as what motivates each woman becomes apparent.

This was a cute, funny read. I read on Kindle Unlimited and listened via Audible. 4 stars
This book didn’t help me as much as I would have liked, but if you have mental blocks or negative self beliefs on deserving wealth, then this book is for you. There is no advice on saving or investing money, but rather it’s all about your attitude towards money. 3 stars
