What a week this was! The hubby has been teaching an advanced class this week that calls for him going in around 6-6:30 a.m every day and leaving me with dog duties, so I get up earlier too and still get less done! I guess I really can’t blame Bella for the two days I spent scouring Amazon prime deals, haha.
In spite of the early mornings and long days, we made some accomplishments. Prime days and deal days everywhere finally prompted my husband to shop for a new laptop. His old one “blew up” March 2020 right after we started lock down and he refused for a while to get a new one. He is getting interested in photography and video again and he knows I won’t share mine, haha. Actually my laptop is so full of photos and stuff from our photography business days that it barely runs. I need new editing software but I don’t think there is room for it until I move some stuff off. I digress. The good news is that he finally bought a new laptop and he was able to retrieve the stuff he thought he lost on the old one. The battery on the old one burned up but the hard drive was still good. We tried a new battery but that didn’t work to power up the laptop. Apparently something else burned up with the battery.
He ordered this hard drive enclosure, removed the hard drive from the old laptop, put it in this enclosure and plugged it in! He can access all his photos and documents! This makes the old hard drive function like an external drive. He was so happy last night.
You know that feeling, right? Running late for an event or work and can’t find the keys!!! That’s happened a few times too many lately because I’ve been switching back and too between the old car and the new one. I bought a new car at the end of March and we took a little time cleaning up the old one and doing a few repairs. I put a for sale sign on it two or three weeks ago but still hadn’t started aggressively trying to sell it. But I sold it this week! My neighbor is a car dealer and he bought it for his used car lot. I might have gotten a little more money selling it to a private party but he still gave me the bottom price I was willing to take and I didn’t have to hassle with crazies calling who want to trade goats, golf carts and jet skis that don’t run! So hallelujah! I sold the Lincoln. Now I only have to keep up with one set of keys.
I got a hair cut this week. I get one every three to four weeks, but a fresh hair cut still feels so good. Especially when you have short hair. There was a time in years past that I wasn’t thrilled over hair cuts. I needed them but I didn’t know if I was going to get exactly what I wanted or if things would be a little off. Thankfully, my stylist has been nailing this cut lately and I now look forward to a fresh hair cut.
I’m also in love with my current Rocksbox set. I’ve even received compliments on the necklace and earrings together. You get three pieces per box and I received this Kate Spade flower necklace, the star earrings and the ear cuff in my last box.
You can use code FONDABFF to try it for a month free. Treat yourself to some happy mail. I love having the opportunity to view some pieces I’m interested in before making a purchase and just having a few new pieces to mix in with my others and then return when I want something else new. I’m considering purchasing this whole set but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
If you aren’t over and done with Amazon for a while now, you can still find some good deals. Prime Day deals are awesome but they have deals every day. In fact, I frequently pop into “today’s deals” to see what has a discount and I keep a wish list that I watch for price drops. These babies are on the way to me because they finally dropped to a price I felt I could justify for a shoe I will get limited wear from. I’ve been wanting a pair of Steve Madden Travel sandals but wouldn’t buy them because I had no where to wear them last year and even now, my casual wear is limited to after work and weekends and we still don’t go much. I just couldn’t spend $80 for sandals. But I’m checking them out at the current price.
If you like the Circus by Sam Edelman Women’s Canyon Flat Sandal, the almond/nude color has made a significant price drop. Other colors and sizes may be even less.
I hope you have a great weekend. I’m linking up here
