Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing some casual summer clothes I ordered recently from Loft Outlet and Amazon. The Loft Outlet deals are too good to miss if you need to update your casual summer wear.
This try on is a real life, at home try on. The mirror needs cleaning, I didn’t bother with shoes in some photos and not everything is a winner for me. What you see is what you get. Just because something didn’t work for me doesn’t mean it wouldn’t for you, so if you see something you like, evaluate whether it works for your body, lifestyle and comfort level.
My stats for size reference: I’m 5’2, 36 inch bust, 31.5 inch waist, 40.5 inch hips. I wear mostly small and size 4-6 bottoms.
Paperbag waist pants and shorts are a hot item right now and these are sooo cute. I have a short torso so they are not the most flattering pants on me because they come a little higher than I’d like, but I still think they are cute enough to keep. And certainly cool and comfy. I like the top/neckline of this tank, but I have never liked fitted tank tops on me so I will be returning the top. If you do like fitted tanks, this is a great basic for summer. I’m wearing a small in both the pants and top.
Same pants with the striped sunwashed tank. I’m always more comfortable in this type of tank and this is a good one. This one appears to be sold out but any of the sunwashed tanks are great,.
I’m wearing these in a 4 curvy fit. Unfortunately they don’t come in a petite length in curvy, otherwise I’d keep these. They don’t look quite “cropped” enough on me, just too short, lol. I love this color for summer and sometimes you need pants instead of shorts. If you are 1 or more inches, taller or don’t need the curvy fit (modern comes in petite) check these out.
I had high hopes for this adorable top. I love a peplum and the back was interesting. However, it didn’t feel too good on. Maybe a size up would be better/ It felt like I was wearing it backwards.
I think the issue is the way the seam for the peplum goes up to the v in the back. In my opinion it would be better sewn straight across.
At least my favorite shorts worked out. I buy shorts in a curvy fit to avoid the waistband gap whenever I can find them and Loft and Loft Outlet always deliver on these. I’m wearing a 4 and replacing my old pair that now stretches out too big.
This dress has potential but not the way I’m wearing it now. The hat is super cute but not really me. I’d pair the dress with a banded slide or a block heel sandal for a dressier look and leave off the hat. Wearing a 6 in the dress.
Ignore the hang tag. I didn’t cut it because I will be returning the hat. It’s adorable with the bow but I wish the bow was on the side not in the back.
If you like casual summer dresses, this one has a lot of potential. I’m wearing the small but there is a lot of fabric on the bottom so I could wear the XS. It’s a great cut for hiding a tummy if that’s an issue. It’s a rayon blend so it’s cool and comfy for summer.
I’m in love and I want one in every color- it comes in 7 options! I’m wearing a medium in this one and a small in the print below. It’s roomy so I definitely can wear the small. I tried these recently in a Prime Wardrobe box. I sent both back but this is definitely on my wish list for later. These are like wearing PJs but still being ready to go out in public. It’s super easy to get on and off too. A soft comfy romper should be on everyone’s list for casual summer clothes.
I ordered it in an 8 because that was all that was available at the time in this color. I need a 6. This is also on my wish list. It comes in a jumpsuit and romper (see below.) The jumpsuit seemed to be a better fit than the romper. The rise/crotch fit a little better in the jumpsuit for me but if you are a tad bit taller either should work. Both come in 8 patterns/colors.
Are you shopping for summer? What’s on your list?
