Hello and welcome back to another edition of how to wear spring 2021 color trends. This week we are focusing on how to wear the spring 2021 greens. If you missed the other posts, be sure to read about raspberry sorbet and the blues- cerulean and french blue. Two shades of green made the Pantone 2021 color pallette- mint- “refreshes and restores” and green ash- cools and soothes. Greens is associated with nature, health, well being, growth and renewal. Those are all things we need after 2020.
Who can wear mint and green ash?
These are again colors for the summers and winters- cool skin tones, but light springs could pull off the right hue or shade of these colors. Everyone else can wear them as part of prints with other colors that flatter or in accessories.
Ways to wear mint and green ash
Mint is the brighter, more invigorating of the two greens. If it is one of your colors, go full on with this puff sleeve jumpsuit featuring a tie waist. Keep the accessories simple with a statement piece like this jumpsuit.
Go bold and pair mint with raspberry sorbet. Greens and pinks were made for each other. Red is green’s complimentary color, but that combo should be saved for Christmas. Pink is a hue of red and works year round with green.
Green ash is the cooler more calming of the spring 2021 greens.
I have several pieces that fit the category of mint, but I’ve fallen in love with green ash and my wardrobe was seriously lacking in this shade. I remedied that with the purchase of this popover from Banana Republic. (Tip- search for sage or celery as well as green ash when looking for this color.) I paired it with navy pants and taupe shoes. I added my grey Kendra Scott earrings. Grey pairs well with green ash also. I’ll likely be wearing this top with grey pants or blazers too.
