Hello and happy Friday once again! I’ve had a full four days of work and I’m more than grateful to be working from home today. I still have work to do, but at least there is no rushing to get there. It’s time to share Friday Favorites with you.
Spring is here and all the beauty that comes with it. My white azaleas are in full bloom. The hubby fertilized them a couple of weeks ago and they look amazing. I went for a walk one morning early, just at sunrise and had the most beautiful view of the fountain in our neighborhood pond. The way the light was reflecting on it was breathtaking. My photo doesn’t do it justice, but I’m sharing just to remind you to slow down and take in all the pretty things around you right now.
We have spent most of this month watching The Ranch on Netflix. It stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson (from That ’70s Show) as brothers Colt and Rooster Bennett, who help run their father’s cattle ranch. Their father, Beau, is played by Sam Elliott. The language is filthy and almost every line has the F word, but Beau’s dry humor is a riot. Ashton Kutcher/ Colt is quite the ditzy character and brings much criticism to himself. In addition to being a comedy, the show is also a drama that brings attention to some real life problems and issues. We loved it. I have not laughed so much in years.
This throw is still my favorite for curling up on the couch and watching TV or reading.
This tote is my favorite purchase this month. It’s soft but durable so far for the price (less than $14) and it comes in a variety of colors. I’m in love with pink for spring.
March brought some progress for us in that we finally got our fence replaced. We replaced the front fence with vinyl and finally added a gate. We have received several compliments on it. Yay for curb appeal! We paid a deposit last November and it took all this time to get the guy here to do the work. We thought we were going to have issues, but thankfully he finally came through with the work.
Last, I stumbled upon this video a few weeks ago. It’s once of the most powerful motivational speeches I’ve heard in quite some time. I’ve been playing it and listening to it while I take walks, and I feel like I could leap over buildings and conquer the world all at once. If you are feeling a little down or just need some encouragement to keep going or tackle a new project, give this a look- Never Give Up.
