Have you given any thought to an Easter outfit? Easter is only a little over a week away now. It’s long been a tradition to have a new outfit for Easter Sunday church service- dresses for the girls and ladies, including a hat, gloves and new shoes. Anyone remember patent leather Mary Janes as a kid? And socks with lace cuffs?
No offense meant, Mama, but I’m glad I dress myself now. No more of those socks and shoes. For some reason, I hated those as a kid and even cried over having to wear them. They just weren’t cool.
As an adult, I’ve kept the tradition to some degree and usually buy a new piece or pair of shoes, if not a new outfit, and a new shirt for the husband. I usually pick something that I can wear multiple times after Easter has passed.
If dresses aren’t your thing, but you still want to dress up for Easter, I’ve got an alternative for you- the jumpsuit. And not just a jumpsuit. Check out this floral patterned jumpsuit from Old Navy that gives all the spring vibes. It makes the perfect Easter outfit.
The many colors of the jumpsuit lend it to many styling options (see four more ways on Instagram) but the yellow seemed to be screaming at me, so I paired it with a yellow blazer. I chose nude strappy sandals and a nude clutch so the shoes and accessories wouldn’t compete with the bright colored blazer.
This jumpsuit is a soft, silky rayon with a square neck cami top. It feels so good next to the skin. The straps are adjustable and it has pockets. The back is elastic. I’m wearing a small. It’s a slimming silhouette and it’s perfect for petites because the column of color has a slimming effect, much like a maxi dress. The square neckline is generally flattering for most women, showing off the collarbone. It’s a great way to show a little skin yet keep it modest. For the smaller chested, the square neckline also creates a curvier look.

Consider a jumpsuit and blazer for your Easter outfit as an alternative to a dress. A jumpsuit might also be a better choice for what to wear on Easter if your temps are still cool because it’s easier to make a blazer or jacket part of the outfit than it might be with some dresses.
