Are you ready for Christmas? Have you been wearing all the red, green and holiday plaid? Normally, my outfits this time of year would reflect a hint of the season, but this year not so much. I’m enjoying the season in spite of it being different, but my outfits lately are more reflective of the weather and the activities than the holiday season. Our weather has been up and down in temps, so you are getting the “all weather mix”.
I’m picking up where I left off with the last What I Wore Lately post, so that means I’m starting with what I wore just before Thanksgiving day. It was pretty warm that week.
Work from home/court appearance
I was still in full on fall colors mode. I really like the versatility of olive pants in my work wear, but I’m going to have to replace these. A belt does little to hold them up!
Blazer- Loft; option; top- Target; pants- JCPenney; shoes- Dr. Scholl’s; belt – Amazon
Dress It Down– Olive jeans +rust tee+ leopard cardigan
Work from home
Blouse- JCPenney/ old; jeans- Old Navy; loafer- Lifestride/ old
Dress It Up Floral blouse+ Olive pants+ burgundy heels
Thanksgiving Day- Leopard and mustard, and these comfy Wit and Wisdom jeans. It was a warm day, so no layers or sleeves needed. I cooked the entire meal and hauled it to my parents, so I opted for comfy.
Top- Khol’s; option jeans- Wit and Wisdom; leopard flats- Steve Madden; earrings- JCrew Factory; option option bracelet- option option
Dress it Up- Swap flats for leopard heels and jeans for navy pants for an office appropriate business casual look.
Black Friday– shopping/decorating- I made a quick trip to Michael’s and Kirkland’s and later to Home Depot for a new freezer after defrosting the old one and discovering it had an oil leak. Clearly these activities called for comfort, not necessarily style, but a pair of slip on leopard sneakers can really save a plain outfit.
Tee- Caslon; joggers- Amazon; similar; sneakers- old options
Dress It Up– Black jeans + olive blouse+ leopard pumps
Office Outfit– It cooled off the next week, and I was back to work. These pants are really old but currently fit better than some of my others. I still haven’t replaced many of my work pants since my weight loss so I’m going back to some older pieces. The blazer and sweater are older pieces from JCrew Factory.
Office Outfit – Burgundy Blazer + Camel Sweater (exact) + Black trousers + leopard pumps
Dress It Down – Camel Sweater + black jeans + leopard booties. Add a burgundy vest or utility jacket for a third layer.
Saturday outfit- Working outside in the pecan orchard
I needed layers and I needed to cover my bum so I started with a long sleeve, longer tshirt, added a hoodie (this v neck hoodie has become a favorite), and then a vest.
Dress It Up- Black jeans + Black sweater+ grey or herringbone vest
That’s all I’ve got time for. I’ll get to the next ten days soon!
