The doormat I waited two weeks for FINALLY arrived Monday. I know two weeks isn’t really a long time, but when you shop Amazon prime as much as I do, two weeks seems like a really long time, lol. Now that the doormat is in place, the porch Christmas decor is finished.
Although I have a coastal theme going on inside, I went more traditional outside. I didn’t really have any coastal Christmas theme outdoor decorations and I’m always drawn to buffalo plaid at Christmas, so I went with the plaid.

At night the garlands and trees light up. Candles in my windows also light up as well as the two porch wreaths. The door garland and porch trees were in need of replacement this year, so they are new from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I also picked up a new wreath from Michael’s and the buffalo check bow to go on it. When I can’t find exactly what I want, I make it or modify it. I added a few extra picks of berries to the wreath also. The buffalo check sign came from Michael’s.

Here is the long awaited door mat, layered with a buffalo check rug from Amazon. Once it was in place, the hubby said it was too pretty to step on.

I got the plaid bows in red as well and added them to my swag, the tops of the porch trees, the garland, and to the wreaths on each end of the house (not pictured).
The berries and pine cones on the porch trees were a little skimpy so I wired on some extra cones and berry picks. I picked up the little lanterns at Big Lots.

I’m pretty pleased with how the porch turned out.
Merry Christmas!
