Happy Friday! It’s the weekend again! This week I’m sharing some of my current favorite things- a new recipe, good (free) books, and what I’m doing.
It’s the hubby’s birthday month, so in honor of him I decorated one of my tiered trays in a Star Wars theme. He’s a serious Star Wars fan. I ordered the two wood block signs from etsy and everything else came out of his collection. He smiles at it everyday and says how “cool” it is. Win! His happiness is a favorite thing for me.
New recipe-
We recently tried out this recipe- Cilantro Lime Shrimp Quinoa Bowls. Yum! I will be making these again. I bought a big bag of limes from Sam’s and I’ve been searching for ways to use them up because I didn’t use as many for their intended purpose as I thought I would. When I started searching, all things “cilantro lime” came up. I do like the combination of cilantro and lime and while I tolerate quinoa, I haven’t been in love with it until now. I could eat this every day.
Free books
If you have an Amazon Prime account you can read certain ebooks for free for a period of time. You don’t have to have a Kindle. Download the Kindle app onto your ipad, phone or computer. You can even try Amazon prime free for 30 days. The selections rotate, but at the time I made this list the books listed below were all available.
Right now these 10 books are free Prime reads. I’ve read them all. I recommend getting a Prime account and reading them now. They won’t stay free Prime reads forever as the selection rotates out.

Self Care Saturdays
Saturdays are usually the days I spend a little more time on myself and apply a face mask, dermaplane, touch up my eyebrows, self tanner, etc. You can shop some of my favorite products here. I love the little extra “me” time.
This romper– it’s so good for lounging and for being ready to go somewhere at a minute’s notice. I styled it five ways in this post.
Have a wonderful weekend!
