There are a couple of more days left to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you are like me, you are ready for this marathon event to end so we can move on to something else. This will be my last mention of it but I wanted to share my thoughts on what I bought, kept, and returned. You may see something you want or be thankful you missed it. Grab a beverage and sit back for my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Review.
There is no guarantee any of this is back in stock or sold out.

BP Camisole/ Madewell tote / Steve Madden loafers
Two of these items aren’t even part of the anniversary sale. The camisole and loafers are regular sale/clearance. I don’t care if something is newly released or end of season as long as it works for my closet. I ordered this camisole as well, but for the price difference the BP camisole works for me. I am wearing a medium and would suggest sizing up. I wear other camisoles in small. The snakeprint loafers released for the Nsale sold out, so I bought these. They were marked down to $49.93. Now they are regular price and this version is on sale. I also found them on Amazon for $36, so guess which ones I’m keeping. The crossbody tote made me laugh. I probably couldn’t get my wallet in there. It’s just not large enough for my daily carry, so it went back. I should have gotten the larger one, but I don’t spend that much on purses.

Nordstrom Moonlight Dream Short Pajamas and Moonlight Dream Crop Pajamas- wearing both in medium, could wear small. Both of these are soft but on the thick side. I find the material to be bit heavy, but not unbearable. I’m returning the shorts version because I purchased these from Target. The Target version material is not as heavy and they are a bit silkier. I’m keeping the crop pjs because they actually work for me as regular length on my petite height.

Vince Camuto Polka Dot Sleeveless blouse/ Wit and Wisdom Skinny Jeans Dark Navy/ Dr. Scholl’s Mercury loafer
The loafers are comfortable but I’ve decided on the Steve Madden loafers above. Also, these loafers have a tan stripe on the heel. I can accept it on the snakeskin but it really stands out on the black and it bugs me.

Wearing this blouse in a small and the jeans in a 6. The blouse is a keeper because it will be a great work wear piece, in office or on video. It’s also versatile enough to wear off duty. Polka dots are classic and I don’t have this combo of black with white dots in my closet. The jeans are a perfect fit but definitely a fall/winter item. They are on the thick side and I was sweating after wearing them around the house for a few hours to do a stretch test.
I also ordered the NYDJ Marilyn straight leg but returned them. I love the fit of NYDJ jeans, but straight leg cut never works for me. I have large calves and most straight leg jeans still fit to my calves just like a skinny and the ankle flares. I hate that look, unless I purposely buy a flare leg and that fit is totally different.
I tried the Articles of Society Sarah skinny distressed jeans. I have a pair from a few years back and love them, but should have sized down. At day’s end they are stretched out and sliding down. This year’s version didn’t work in either current size or a size down. I have a hard time believing the rise is the same as indicated on the website because if so, they should have fit. Maybe this batch just got cut out wrong. They are a soft and comfy jean, so if they fit you, they are worth the purchase.
I was about to give up on jeans but the Wit and Widsom came through. I’m sure my shopping woes for jeans aren’t over as I have lost weight and changed shape somewhat. The last pair of jeans I pulled out of the closet were too big, so I’m happy to have at least one pair of jeans that work for now. I’m sure I still have others in the closet but I dread going through them.

Kendra Scott Lola Earrings/ Gorjana dog tag necklace
At least jewelry always fits, right? Both of these brands are favorites of mine and hold up well.

Caslon printed sleeveless top- black/ivory floral Cute top with a button back detail that doesn’t stand out on this print. Cute but I don’t love it or need it. Returned.

Halogen Print Sleeveless top/ Wit and Wisdom Skinny Jeans/ Dr. Scholl’s Mercury Loafter/ Kendra Scott Ryder Hoop Earrings
This top is giving me all the fall feels. It’s a keeper because I can wear sleeveless tops well into winter here with cardigans and blazers. The black loafers have the tan strip on the back that I mentioned so they are a no for me, but they are comfy. I’m looking into this loafer as an alternative. It’s also less expensive. Hoop earrings are classic but these have a trendy touch with the link pattern.

There are a couple of splurges here and a few things I will wear and use over and over. Other bloggers sell things to me too and after reading reviews on the neuLASH I decided to use my birthday money for a treat. I’ll let you know if it works. The sunglasses are also a splurge for me, but not a huge one. My favorite wireless bra will be worn on repeat. The Zella leggings are a first for me, but after hearing everyone else rave about them I got myself a pair. I tried three versions and decided to keep these for the winter because they really suck you in. The Zella workout top is a winner for me too. It has plenty of support and NO aggravating pads. I work out five days a week so it will see plenty of wear. If you miss it, this is a comparable option (I have one of these too). I have also been looking for a wireless bralette option that’s comfy for wearing around the house. I was surprised at how comfy the Spanx bralette was, and it has built in pads. I already use and like the Becca under eye setting powder so I decided to try the Hydra Mist Set and Refresh powder. I’m always looking for a powder that doesn’t enhance fine wrinkles and make my skin look drier. The verdict is still out as to whether or not this is any better than my drugstore brand.
Returns not pictured/mentioned:
I only kept two of the three Zella leggings I tried. I found these lighter weight versions to be comparable to other work out leggings I can purchase for less. The Spanx shorts came up too high on my short torso and were just miserable. The True and Company bralette might be an option for a soft lounging bra but I liked the Spanx one better. I also ordered the True and Co bralette from Target for comparison. The material content is a little different and the Target bra doesn’t have as much elasticity as the Nordstrom one which makes me afraid those aggravating removable pads would move around too easily. Don’t even bother with the B’Tempted one- it offers no coverage. The Gibson top was just too loose in the body for me- reminded me of a maternity top, but it’s super soft if you can get past that. I thought I’d love the Cole Haan shoes and they do have the right out of the box comfort I expected but I didn’t love the pattern. Not all snakeskin is the same.
