Hello there and happy Friday! I’m happy to see the weekend and happy to have yet another post published. I’m still struggling with this new normal of mostly teleworking and then trying to blog and publish posts. When 5 p.m. comes I’m ready to walk away from the screens and do something else so it is still a struggle to keep up with blogging. I still want to do it but it’s difficult with this “new” normal or whatever you want to label it. I very much appreciate you stopping by, commenting, shopping my links and supporting my efforts because it’s a BIG effort right now.
This week’s favorites are just a mixed bag of things I’m currently doing and enjoying, so let’s get started.
What I’m wearing: Masks! They are “mandatory” in most stores here now but that doesn’t seem to phase the naysayers who will not cooperate. It’s not hurting me and if it’s helping someone else then I can tolerate a mask for work and shopping. May as well look cute doing it!
PJs! I received a pair of Soma Cool Nights pjs for my birthday by request and I have been loving them. The hubby says they are “snazzy.” There is a satin tie at the waist.
What I’m Eating: Salads! This month in the Faster Way to Fat Loss VIP we are having a salad challenge. Each day we have a different salad (M-F). These are not wimpy salads. They are literally a whole meal in a bowl and sooo good! Fresh crisp veggies and protein! When I have to work away from the house I toss mine in a mason jar. The fun colored lid came from Amazon.
I am also loving this food scale for tracking my macros and getting my portions just right.
What I’m Reading:
Staying Stylish: Cultivating a Confident Look, Style, and Attitude by Candace Cameron Bure- She shares shares tips and tricks for looking and feeling your best—both inside and out. She also talks about her faith and about nourishing the spirit. I read this last month and I was so excited to stumble across this in my Scribd subscription because it embodies the message I’m hoping to send in my Beauty Inside and Out series.
Scribd– I have a love/hate relationship with this because sometimes things become unavailable for about 10 days and then come back when my subscription renews. Yet it’s still a great way to read ebooks and listen to audiobooks. I’ve had the benefit of three books and three audiobooks for just $8.99 this month. You aren’t limited to that, you can read/listen as much as you want from what’s available. That’s just what I’ve finished so far. Considering the cost of books, that’s a deal! Get 60 days free when you sign up through my link.
Have a great weekend! I’m linking up with Friday Favorites.
