The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened up for higher level cardholders this week. You probably already knew that being that this is one of the most heavily promoted sales of the year.
I can’t shop until next week, but I’ve been making a list of things I need/want and I thought I’d highlight a few of my favorite products or brands that I own and would buy again.
Shoes– oh how I love shoes! You tell me there’s a sale on shoes and I’m there! The brands I’m sharing are ones that I can wear 8 plus hours a day comfortably and definitely at the top of the list of things you need to shop.
Dr. Scholl’s I have a pair of Dr. Scholl’s slip on sneakers and I wear them fall to spring.
Vince Camuto- I own a pair of low heel booties and an over the knee pair of boots by Vince Camuto and they rank high on my list for comfort. Both of my picks are showing in snakeskin, but the booties come in a tan/camel color that would go with anything and the tall boots come in an olive- another great neutral for fall and winter.
Cole Haan My peep toe booties that I bought last year were super comfortable right out of the box, so I’m considering investing in more of this brand. They have some cute lower heel options if you are going back to an office and need some dress shoes.
Steve Madden– I have a couple of pairs of Steve Madden shoes that I really like also, so I couldn’t leave this brand of the list. You can’t go wrong with the ankle boots in black or cognac as a closet basic and the leopard and snakeskin flats are fun to have.
Beauty Products– Head right here to see all the brands you need to buy while they’re on sale. I’ll also break down the details on a few of them for you.
Kiehl’s The large body cream is a super thick creamy heavy duty moisturizer. It’s great for the winter and drier seasons. The hand cream and facial wash are all solid products. I don’t keep Kiehl’s in my personal stock all the time but I’ve never tried a product I wasn’t happy with.
Slip pillowcase– This is a splure and one you need to take. You would never have convinced me unless I tried it for myself, but I will not leave home without this thing now! When I travel, it goes with me. And when I forget it, I regret it. It really is so much better for your skin and hair. I have a lot less bedhead with this. Treat yourself or someone on your Christmas list.
Moroccan oil- The best thing for dry hair. Smooths the frizzies right away and adds shine.
Supergoop– I use the daily moisturizer with SPF 40 as my daily moisturizer. Two steps taken care of in one!
First Aid Beauty– There is always one of their product in my daily arsenal and I love these kits for trying out even more products without a major commitment to a large amount of product.
The unmentionables you need to shop
The Wacoal perfect no wire is one of my go to bras and you need to replace bras about once a year anyway so go ahead and take advantage of the sale. The strapless version is the best strapless I’ve ever owned. Shapers and slip shorts are great under skirts and the undies below are all guaranteed “no show” options.
I can’t end this without mentioning my favorite throw! Get one for everyone on your Christmas list. They will love them. My mother in law bought mine for me last Christmas off my wish list but said she almost didn’t let it go and wanted to keep it! It’s definitely one of the items you need to shop!
