We’ve been doing more sitting and lounging lately, right? With no place to go, pajama pants and joggers have seemed just fine for the outfit of the day. But I’m pretty sure that by now, some of you have begun to feel unmotivated, less than your best and unattractive. Pajama pants and joggers aren’t cutting it anymore. Yet, you don’t want to give up the comfort they offer.
Wide leg soft pants!
I’ve owned a pair of these for years. I’ve lost track of the number of years I’ve owned the pair I’m wearing here, but before these, I had a similar pair. They are light and breezy for summer occasions when shorts aren’t appropriate and soft pants still offer the comfort of lounge wear.
What’s not to love about an elastic waistband? Soft pants, or palazzo pants as they are sometimes referred to, are perfect to transition back into your normal clothes when you want to wear normal clothes but your jeans are too tight or just too uncomfortable. You have grown accustomed to wearing looser fitting clothing but still want to look stylish. If this is your dilemma, soft pants are the solution.
When you have to go back to work in the office, these pants dress up easily with a blazer and low heels. This blazer from Loft is machine washable, a plus for me with a white blazer. A white blazer is my go to for summer, but so hard to clean. I digress. Any color blazer would work- just coordinate it with the colors in your pants.
Maybe you just want to dress up for brunch or lunch out? Just add a blazer or cardigan. Choose a topper like a denim jacket to keep it on the casual side, as seen here in an outfit I wore last year with these pants.
Choose soft pants when joggers and pajamas won’t do but comfort is still critical!
