Hi there. I hope this finds all of you doing well. I’ve got a Spring Try On Session to share with you. Just before the virus started hitting our area, I ordered some things for spring. I also took advantage of Ann Taylor’s free shipping and free returns about a week into the quarantine to get some things that have been on my wish list for work. Even return shipping can add up so I rarely take the chance on ordering from there- I couldn’t resist this offer. One day I’ll be back in an office and these pieces will get a lot of wear.

For size reference I’m 5’2/ 156 pounds and usually wear a size 6 bottoms, small to medium tops. This post contains affiliate links and I make a small commission from your purchases through these links. Thanks for your support.
I’ll start with the Ann Taylor items.
Floral sweater (S)+ Ankle Pant in Bi-Stretch (6 curvy)

The sweater is a nice medium weight 3/4 sleeve sweater, perfect for spring. It’s really soft too. It’s almost sold out so I’m linking up some more floral sweaters from AT. Maybe this one will get restocked once people start making returns.
Ankle pants- Most ankle pants are a tad short for my conservative office and most cling to my large calves. These do not. I wear a pair of grey ankle pants on heavy rotation in the winter and early spring but they are a winter weight and too hot for the rest of the year. A spring/summer appropriate grey ankle pant was on my wish list so I gave these a try while they were on sale and shipping was free both ways. Winner! I ordered both a 6 and 8 and I went with the 6. It felt a bit snug at first but has stretch and the 8 was a tad big. I wear the curvy fit in most any pants or jeans I own.
Striped split neck tunic blouse- Ann Taylor Medium petite

This blouse seems to have sold out (in less than 2 weeks!). I guess I’m not the only one taking advantage of these sales. Hopefully, it will restock! 04/03/.This is a neat tunic top that can be worn out or tucked in because it’s light and thin enough for tucking. The side detail is neat too. I ordered a small and a medium petite and kept the medium petite.
Tip- If your normal size is sold out, go up or down in the petite or regulars accordingly. I couldn’t find a huge difference in size between the small and the medium petite as far as sleeve length, shoulders or body length, but for some reason the petite medium felt better across the bust and under the arms.

The top tucked

Striped matte jersey cuff top I tried both a small and small petite and could have worn either. I liked this top but it is a heavier weight material than the one above and would have been hot in my climate. I opted for the top above and returned this one.

The Ankle Pant in Cotton Sateen in Navy– Curvy fit 6 Paired with Old Navy Printed Banded-Collar Shirt (S)

Navy ankle pants were another item on my wish list for a couple of seasons. I have navy trousers but sometimes I want a different silhouette. I like these from Ann Taylor because they are still slim but not tight all the way down.
Another shirt that’s almost sold out. Everyone must have been thinking the same thing when I ordered. This is another option great for wearing with both casual and work outfits. Other red floral top options:
Loft Double Breasted Blazer in white 6 Petite

Free shipping and free returns got me at Loft too. A white blazer is a staple in my summer work wardrobe, but it’s nearly impossible to get one clean at the dry cleaners. The selling point for this one is that it’s machine washable. I’ve never really worn double breasted blazers but I think I’m keeping this one. I’m still debating.
Blazer with Old Navy polka dot banded collar shirt and Loft Riviera Pants 6 Curvy

I have a couple of pairs of these pants from three years ago- khaki and black. These pants are comfortable to wear, but I’ll admit they wrinkle easily from sitting and stretch out a good bit. My older Riviera pants are an inch shorter than these and I rarely wear them to the office anymore. I was surprised that these are a bit longer and don’t hug my calves the way the others do. I might be able to wear these to the office. I debated keeping these but ultimately decided to keep them in spite of stretching and wrinkles because they just feel good.
Another shot of this top:

Old Navy Long Line Open Front Sweater in oatmeal (S) and Mid-Rise Distressed Boyfriend Straight Jeans 6 Regular

I wanted to update/replace my current beige/oatmeal cardigan and this one is soft and comfy. I wore it all day yesterday. I have also wanted a slimmer pair of boyfriend jeans that would work with cardigans and fuller tops. I have a pair of boyfriend jeans that are several years old, but they don’t always work with longer/fuller cardigans and such. It’s too much material together and too frumpy. These will give me a second option.
Banana Republic– Soft Satin Ruffle Top (S) No longer available in this color but still available in 4 colors. This is a really soft, silky top as indicated by its title. I probably won’t wear it without a jacket/blazer, but will wear it with both casual and work outfits.

Here is another option in the same prints without the ruffle. If you really want a yellow top, here are some other options:
NYDJ Sheri High Waist Slim Fit Crop Jeans and Stan Smith Adidas Sneakers

Both of these were returned. The “big pink” color in the jeans is fun. The fly is all buttons/snaps. The last three are hidden. My regular size in these is a 4. There are pretty thick and I decided they would be too hot in my climate, but I do love NYDJ and these are at a great price. They might work for you.
I wanted a pair of sneakers that were a little less chunky and lower profile than the ones I currently have so I jumped on these in the Nordstrom sale. I sized down a half size and they were still way too big. I compared them to my current sneakers and they were not really any less “chunky” either so no point in spending money on these.
Amazon Essentials Scoopneck Swing Dress + Leopard print headband + Ollio Faux Suede Flats

I’m wearing the dress in a medium, but you can snag a small for $7.58! I already have this in olive and this dress is like wearing pajamas. A perfect stay at home dress. I got mine for $8.51. It’s showing $20 now but still worth $20.
The headband is a cute accessory. It might be necessary if I have to go a month without a haircut.
I had high hopes for the shoes. Audrey at Putting Me Together recommends these, but they didn’t fit me. I should have sized down a half size from my normal. I don’t know if I will reorder because they are cute but a little stiff. I really don’t know how to describe what is wrong with them, but I think I need a shoe with a little more sole and quality if I’m going to wear them often. I don’t want to call them cheap, but you do get what you pay for, and something is off for me with these.
I hope you find some great deals that you can wear for spring and summer while all the great sales and free shipping deals are going on.
