Hello and Happy Friday! Mother’s Day is coming up in a couple of weeks. I’m not sure what that will look like for us. Some parts of the country may be back to business and some may not. Our state is allowing some businesses to reopen beginning today and next Monday, but with strict guidelines and social distancing. It’s impossible to meet the requirements in some places. If our church reopened we could only allow in about 1/3 of the congregation to allow for proper distancing and I don’t see any way to run the children’s department in compliance, so our church will remain closed and continue online for now.
Whether you get to go on some outing of sorts or have a cozy Mother’s Day at home with dinner on the patio or have breakfast in bed, I’ve got you covered with easy and comfortable outfit suggestions.

1 Tshirt dress– If the dress and sneakers combo isn’t your thing, swap the sneakers for sandals. Swap the denim jacket for a pretty cardigan if you want to dress this up a bit more. Regardless, a tshirt dress is the best way to achieve pajama comfort and still be dressed.
2- Soft wide leg pants Here’s a pants option perfect for a Mother’s Day brunch or lunch, at home or out.
3-Pajamas all day! If you aren’t sick of pajamas, or you’ve been busy working from home, take a break and relax in a pretty pair of pajamas. Or tell them you want to be treated to both breakfast and some pamper time and then change into one of the other outfits.
Need gift ideas? Especially for older ladies? Here are my favorite things to give my mother and mother-in-law, both who are in their late 70s.
1 Stationary- Both ladies still love to send handwritten cards. I usually make each one of them a set of all occasion cards, but you can easily purchase a ready made set and put together a gift set of cards, address stamp, postage stamps, address book, and some pretty note pads.
2 Kendra Scott jewelry– It’s classic and holds up to wear for years. This company is always supporting a good cause too. Currently 50% of all proceeds from Everlyne Bracelets will directly support the Feeding America® network of food banks, empowering children to live their brightest and healthiest lives by providing nutrition to those who face hunger while schools are closed. You can also get a free necklace with $100 purchase, while supplies last this weekend.
3 Lotions and creams Neither one of my mothers are big into beauty products but they do appreciate a good body lotion or cream.

Custom engraved Bible cover – It might not ship on time, but a little gift with a note to expect more later can be fun too.
