Happy Friday! This has been a long-awaited Friday. It’s been so hard to get up every morning this week because of the time change. It’s not that losing one hour of sleep causes that much of a problem but my body is not registering that it’s time to get up with it still dark out. I’m sooo tired.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to come up with favorites because I’m a “like it all, want it all” kind of gal. That doesn’t mean I buy it all but I like an eclectic mix of things. Here are some things I’m crushing on lately:
I decorated one of my trays with a mild nod to St. Patricks day and the other one is back to non-seasonal items:
The burlap “lucky” sign is a diy from a few years back.
Trays can be so expensive but I have noticed some price drops on these at Amazon.
Earrings I’m crushing on:
I feel almost naked if I leave home without earrings on. My favorite earring styles change at times. I used to like large hoops and larger earrings when I had longer hair but not so much anymore. I still like a fun statement earring, but for everyday I like medium size earrings and I don’t want them too big or to dangle too far now that I am wearing my hair short. I also like to have some small earrings on hand for field days at work or when I’m wearing scarves or turtlenecks or any type of high collar that might compete with earrings, so I’m growing quite fond of studs, crawlers and huggies. Some that have caught my eye:
When I get around to shooting some new photos you may notice that I made a subtle change to my hair color this week. I’m trying to get away from the yellow blonde and would love to go grey or silver, but I don’t have enough grey hair yet. Just enough for it to look “mousy” without highlights, and grey enough at the roots to keep me away from red or darker colors. I’m not sure I’m going to talk my stylist into any of these colors but she did do less yellow blond, highlights only and toned in more grey this time. Until I get the nerve and/or get her on board, I’ll just drool over these pics:
I read several books last month. Did you catch my reviews Tuesday?
I finished up the Scarlett Falls series between last month and this month- Minutes to Kill and Seconds to Live. Melinda Leigh is one of my favorite crime/thriller authors. There’s also a little romance woven it. (Sometimes there is foul language and sex, but the sex is not trashy or vulgar.)
I frequently enjoy a cup of tea and recently decided I’m in love with this Vanilla Chai tea. When I first tried it, I didn’t care for the spice. I gave it another try recently with a bit of honey and almond milk added- instant new favorite!
What are you loving lately?
