Happy Friday! It might not feel the same to reach Friday if you have been couped up all week already. Things have certainly changed a lot for us in a week’s time. I think panic hit our area over COVID-19 last Friday. The hubby and I tried to grocery shop and it was chaotic and all the paper goods and cleaning supplies were sold out. And that was before the school closings! Our schools did close this week and my usual grocery store is now completely sold out of any ground meat you can imagine- beef, turkey, chicken and sold out of most fresh vegetables and the frozen ones. Suddenly everyone is on a healthy diet and wants vegetables? That would be a good change, but I’m guessing some people are hoarding and will eventually waste some things. And we didn’t even have a confirmed case in our county and only one 50 miles away. What the flip?! It’s so easy for fear and panic to spread. ( We now have two confirmed cases.)
My office has not closed and will not. We went to a telework system this week but I was the chosen one to man the office this week. So Friday is still exciting to me! Next week I start teleworking. Having said all of that to update you one where we are with this pandemic, I’m probably not going to say much more about it. Please take care of yourself and your families, but please remain hopeful. I’m going to keep blogging because I like the distraction and I like maintaining as much normalcy as possible. It’s possible blogging will slow down if internet service slows as more and more people start teleworking and online schooling. I’m also not sure how much “new” stuff I will share as clothing stores are closing for the next 10-15 days. While online shopping is still an option (and a great one with all the free shipping being offered!), returns may be difficult or expensive with the stores closed. I’m also not sure we should really be ordering non-essentials when those who work in delivery services are inundated with getting out essential supplies. So while I have recently ordered some new things for spring, I may postpone any further shopping. Of course, I do see this coming to an end, and if you need clothes, by all means, buy them.
Now back to the fun stuff! Here are some of my favorite things that I already own and love.

1 Slip silk pillowcase– I’ve been sleeping on one of these for two years now and it really does help with bedhead. It also keeps you from waking up with creases and wrinkles on your face if you are a side sleeper. I also have one of these as a back up and it works but not as well as the Slip.
2 Tarte 4-in-1 Sea setting mist- This is great for setting makeup or hydrating your skin mid day if you need a boost.
3 Style station– Heat resistant so it lets you put your tools up right away. I keep my hair dryer in mine under the sink.
4 Oatmega vanilla almond bars– I have fallen in love with these for a snack or when I’m on the road and can’t get lunch!
5 Dr. Scholl’s sneakers– These have been my go to lately because they are so comfy! I will definitely be giving other styles of Dr. Scholl’s a try in the future.
6 Urban Decay Naked Palette 3- I know I’m probably late to the game with these palettes. I received my first one for Christmas and I have been loving these shades lately for a nice daytime look.
7 Kendra Scott Addie Drop earrings– when you are wearing mixed metals, these are the earrings to go with.

I also love having an outfit plan or formula to go to when I don’t feel like thinking about what to wear. GYPO’s spring 2020 capsule is perfect for that and it’s available now. It’s important to still get up and dress up in something cute even if you aren’t going anywhere, and the Facebook group is an amazing source of support.
Have a great weekend! Be safe and stay healthy!
