This month Jennie chose St. Patrick’s Day as our theme. Everyone knows that you have to wear green or you will get pinched. Folklore says green makes you invisible to leprechauns who like to pinch people, so by wearing green you can avoid getting pinched. Wearing green is also a way to honor Ireland, the Emerald Isle. So how do you wear green to work without looking like a leprechaun?
Skip the green top hat, but don any shade or office appropriate garment in green you can find. Green signifies growth, renewal, and nurturing. Green can be a positive color to wear. All shades (except neon) can be office appropriate.
Here are nine ways to wear green to work for St. Patrick’s Day and for the spring season.
Chartreuse green with navy (and leopard)
Blazer- JCPenney; similar pants- JCPenney; shoes- DSW; earrings- Kendra Scott
A green pencil skirt.
It pairs easily with a black and white color scheme.
A solid green blouse.
Pair it with navy and a lighter shade of blue.
Navy, green and white make a stunning ensemble.
A green blazer Most florals have some greens in them and are easy to pair up with green blazers or cardigans. Black makes green pop.
A green sweater- Don’t forget that light weight sweaters are easy to wear under blazers and suits.
A green floral top- I stuck to mostly navy and black neutrals in the outfits above, but bright green pairs perfectly with other bright colors.
