Happy New Year! I hope 2020 has been a great year for you so far! I have no complaints.
It’s my favorite day of the week- Friday! And time for another round of Friday Favorites. I have so many random things to share.
I was blessed with so many great gifts this Christmas and I have a few favorites.
1 This blanket! I received one as a Christmas gift. SO soft! It’s still on sale so go get yourself one!
2- A new planner Mine is a different color/design but the same layout! I’m not a big planner person, but I use one for blog planning. Last year I used a homemade binder, but this year I asked for a real planner and this one is working out nicely. The pages are a great quality and it should hold up well.
3- My new Yeti mug- I hate cold coffee. I use this warmer at home but when we travel I don’t take it with me. Now I can take this mug. I’ve tested it out at home and it works pretty well.
4- There have been so many fun best of 2019 posts in the past week. Style at A Certain Age did a decade in review and went back to each year of her blog. Her series is so much fun!
I started this blog in 2011 and I published a craft blog from 2008- 2015, so I have blogged over an entire decade. I seem to click with the fashion community better than the crafting one, so I left the craft blog to focus more on the fashion blog. I switched to wordpress in 2018 and I deleted some of the earlier posts. Some of the ones I left up are no longer showing the photos so I need to go fix those or delete them. I had no idea what I was doing and really didn’t promote my blog (either one) well until the 2018 switch to wordpress. Even though it’s just a hobby, I got a little more serious about it and 2019 has been my best year ever at blogging. Just for kicks and giggles, here is one of those early 2011 outfit photos:

5- Goals accomplished! That’s one of the best feelings in the world! Last year I decided I would read the Bible in one year and with the chronological plan on the Bible app, I did it! Or rather they read the Bible to me, but it still worked. Now I’m continuing a daily study and I’ve started their 7 day plan on Revelation. It seemed fitting to take a deeper look while it was still fresh on my mind.
You may also remember that I started reading again in 2019 and set a goal to read 24 books. If you saw my Favorite Reads of 2019, you know that I read 17 print books. My total audio books completed is now 20 with the remainder of 95 total completions being split between reading and listening to parts of the same book. So… I modestly set this year’s reading goal at 60. I want to read some of the print books I purchased last year and haven’t read yet, and reading is certainly slower than listening. I’m loosely following along with The Unread Shelf in a challenge for those books. The first challenge is to pick one book and read it by Jan 31 or get rid of it if you don’t finish it. Hmm… I have 41 unread print books, 42 on Kindle, and 4 audible books to complete. I wouldn’t get rid of the Kindle/audio stuff, so I picked one of the 41 print books and then discovered that it is available with my Kindle Unlimited and I can get the audio version on Scribd. I better pick another one so I don’t cheat. Do you have any reading goals? Modern Mrs Darcy has a fun reading challenge too.
Have a great weekend! Linking up with Friday Favorites.
