Hey there! I usually don’t post on Sundays but yesterday was a busy day and I just didn’t get around to finishing up this post. Here’s a recap of what I wore during the past week. The weather went from cool to warm and back to cool again Friday.
Saturday- We photographed a wedding. The dress for the event was semi-formal but I don’t wear a dress as the photographer so I went with dress pants, blouse and moto jacket. There was a variety of attire worn by guests so I was not out of place. Most guests wore dressy attire but not what I would call semi-formal. It was an afternoon, outdoor wedding so I factored that in as well. The pattern on my blouse isn’t showing in this photo, but it is a subtle mauve color snakeskin print.
It was cool enough for a sweater and scarf. We are a very casual church and although I’d like to dress up more, I’m frequently working a safety detail so jeans and boots it is. I have to factor in being on my feet two hours of the day. My sweater is new (currently 50% off!) and a replacement for an old pink sweater that has seen better days. I also plan to replace a camel color sweater, but since we are only having a couple of sweater weather days per week, there is no rush. My scarf is the half blanket scarf from Amazon that I raved about before. It is not nearly as bulky as a traditional blanket scarf.
I was off work Monday and spend the day in work out attire and joggers and a tee. Tuesday was a field day.
Wednesday- back to the office
I can’t decide if this blouse is fall appropriate or not. It does have a bit of mustard yellow in it, but that was popular last spring and summer too. I think the lines are really starting to cross with colors we consider for a season. I may retire this top to storage now as I think of it as a summer top. I chose cognac pumps since it is fall, but would wear nude with this same outfit in the summer.
I paired my rust pants with a grey sweater and leopard blazer. I think the outfit overall would be better with a camel or ivory sweater but I had to go with it since I didn’t have time to change.
