There is something about plaid that screams fall and winter. Sure, you can have plaid in spring colors too, but I really gravitate to the fall plaids. A plaid blazer was on my radar last year and again this year. I just didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one, and I didn’t want a black and white combo since I have a black and white gingham blazer. These two things kept me from making a purchase last year. This year I was determined to find the one. Target to the rescue.
This brown plaid blazer isn’t too busy of a pattern so it styles up nicely for work wear. It also dresses down easily for casual looks. Here are three ways to style a plaid blazer.

Blazer + lace top+ navy pants
Browns and blues work together every time. Add in a lace top for some texture. Nude or black heels will work with this combo, but I really like to wear cognac in the fall and with other browns.
Blazer + rust top+ black pants
Go fall all the way with a mixture of browns and rust orange. The blazer and leopard heels keep this outfit from looking like a Halloween uniform. I accessorized with a simple gold pendant and hoop earrings.
Blazer+ burgundy tee+ light wash jeans
Browns and burgundy are another great pairing. I will likely wear this blazer again with burgundy in some fashion to the office. For a nice out of office/ weekend look, this blazer works well with light wash jeans. Note what I said above about browns and blues- Every. Single. Time. No matter the shade, dark or light, browns and blues mix well.
