How did it get to be August? Well, seven full months passed, that’s how. And here we are the the beginning of a new month.
The beginning of a month is always exciting to me. There is usually a little bit of a break while we wait for the next cycle of cases to come in at work, new cases come in, new releases come in Kindle Unlimited, and so on and so on. A new month brings new hope of something different and that’s always fun.
So what’s been going on around here?

1- Wearing lately– I’ve really been under conviction lately about the amount of clothes and things I have. They say we wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. I do believe that, but why is it? How much do I really need? See how I’m challenging myself to do something about this here.
Weekend wear

Good vibes tee; option Old Navy boyfriend shorts; Sonoma slides; Kendra Scott earrings
I’ve been wearing these sandals a lot this season and the boyfriend shorts are from several years ago and get lots of wear each summer.
Work wear

Blazer- Belk/ old; option option blouse- Loft-old; option option pants- Loft/ old; option option shoes- Nordstrom Rack; option option earrings- Amazon
All of these pieces are old but see quite a bit of wear. Wearing red shoes is always fun!
2- I was photo bombed by this sweet girl so I had to share. Please pray for her. Bella struggles with anxiety and thunder/storm phobia and July was horrible for her with all the fireworks for the first week and summer thunder storms the rest of the month. We are trying some new medication for her.

3- Favorite meal this week– Zoodles with meat sauce. I buy the fresh premade zoodles from Publix to make this quick. Brown a ground meat of your choice- beef, chicken, turkey, and add jar of pasta/spaghetti sauce. Add in any extras you want- seasoning or more veggies. I threw in a some spinach. Cook your zoodles and top with the sauce. Have side salad. This is a super quick and easy meal and it’s good! Gluten free, grain free and whole30.
4- Graphic tees are always favorites with everyone. Cents of Style’s Fashion Friday deal is two tees for $30 with code GRAPHIC15.

5- Who’s ready for back to school and football season? When I was in school, Friday night football was my favorite. (I was a cheerleader). My Jane pick is these fun football tunics.
