Happy Friday! It’s been a crazy busy work week around here so I’m glad it’s Friday. I look forward to sharing these random favorites with you each week.

1- My favorite thing this week- Air conditioning! I so look forward to coming home to my air conditioned home at the end of the day. The air conditioning has been down since August 1 in our building at work. Monday and Tuesday some people were allowed to telework and some had to suffer through. A part has been ordered and an external unit was placed Tuesday afternoon, but by Wednesday something was down with it. It has been 80 and above in the afternoons in our office even with the external unit. It was 82 at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning. At the risk of sounding shallow, AC is a favorite this week. I have lived without it before- my grandparents did not have air conditioning for most of my childhood- and I realize a lot of people are still not so fortunate, so I count my modern conveniences a blessing.
2- What I’ve been wearing this week– All the things I haven’t worn! See my week 2 wrap up on my personal challenge. And those things include SUMMER things. People, it’s still SUMMER. I’m going on a rant here- I’m annoyed at all the early fall transition posts and clothes. I know commercialism pushes each season earlier and earlier but geez Louise! It’s the middle of summer. Slow your roll until September, then you can start transitioning when the calendar is actually near fall, if you are blessed to be in an area that has a fall. Here in the South we will be happy if we get to wear a cardigan in November! The only fall transitioning we will do will be a color change from a white tshirt to a mustard, burgundy or olive tshirt, and maybe some booties instead of sandals.
3- Water is my favorite beverage. No soft drinks for me in years! I also drink coffee and occasionally tea. I found this cute bottle on Amazon this week and thought it would be perfect for someone who needs encouragement to drink more water.
5- Jane – Jane gets southerns and the fall thing, haha! See- fall tees.

This porch sign caught my eye too. The porch was our favorite place to sit at my grandparents and it was often cooler there than inside. We would even sit out in the dark after supper and just listen to the crickets and whipper wills (or whip-poor-wills). Sweet memories!
