Happy Friday! I hope everyone in the U.S. had a great Fourth of July. We stayed in and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs on the indoor grill.
So much progress happened for us this week! Our new living room furniture arrived. I’m not ready to reveal it yet because we still need to find end tables or side tables and new lamps and get some decor back out. The new couch creates an entirely new configuration and I need skinny end tables or accent tables because I don’t have as much room for tables as I used to have. Work in progress…

1 – What I can reveal is our new landscaping! We had let our shrubs and beds go and decided it was just too much. My husband hates yard work and wanted something simpler. We were tired of fighting with the huge sago palms and the crepe myrtles that had grown too tall and were planted way to close to the house. I don’t know what the original owners were thinking. We paid a landscape company to come design new beds, pull out all the old and put in new.
I’m in love with this simpler, cleaner look.
I should have taken before pictures but there were three huge sago palms, three crepe myrtle trees, shrubs under the windows, in front of the porch railing and all along the side of the house in the front bed. You could not even see the porch or front of the house well. Now I might be motivated to decorate the porch again!
2- My old white jeans from Loft got a makeover too. I cut them off and made shorts out of them.
3- Another summer favorite- rainier cherries! They are only in season for a short while so I grabbed two bags at the grocery store this week.
4- Ruffle hem tees and tunics are favorites of mine. Check out this one from Jane

You know I love kimonos too.

5- As much as I love the summer sun, I don’t love wrinkles and damage to my skin. This vitamin E oil has become a favorite in my routine for keeping my skin in good condition.
