Summer is the perfect time to add some color to your work wear. You may be tempted to stick with colorful tops, but switch it up and wear colorful pants once in a while.

Last week I shared 3 Chic Ways to Wear a Bright Matching Suit. These pants are part of that suit. The best way to get more mileage out of your matching pieces is to wear them separately. I’ve been pondering how to style these pants by themselves so when Jennie chose this theme the challenge was eagerly accepted!
I chose to style these colorful pants with a grey lightweight short sleeve sweater and my gingham blazer. My initial thought was to go with a slightly darker grey blazer, but then I remembered how much I liked this blue with black and white, so I chose the black and white gingham blazer. The top half is still neutral so the pants can still have plenty of attention.
Black pumps would work with this outfit but I remembered my snakeskin toe flats and decide they would add a little more texture and interest to the outfit. If the releases in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are any indication, snakeskin is going to be super popular this fall. (Shop my picks from the sale here.)
