Happy Memorial Day! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend but I also hope that it has included some somber reflection by my fellow U.S. friends on what this day really is. It’s not just a long weekend, cook outs, shopping, and fun. It’s a time to remember and honor those who died to give us the freedom to do these things.
Have you tried the wide leg crop pants trend yet? I’m still searching for a more relaxed, dressy pair but I do have and love these wide leg chambray pants. Today I’m sharing 4 ways to style them.

A couple of tips for pear shaped petites like me-
1- Tuck in your top. You will look way too boxy with an untucked top unless it’s super fitted or a crop top.
2- Wear a heel, not flats. I’ve tried these with flats and I like the look much better with a heel. I wore wedges in all of these looks, but a low to medium height block heel would look nice too. The heel gives some height and keeps you from looking stumpy.
The first look with these wide leg chambray pants features a cute pom pom trim top in white. I’m so glad JCrew Factory brought this top back. I chose red shoes and accessories for a super summery red, white and blue look.
The second look is my least favorite of these looks. It was cute in my head but didn’t work as well as I’d like for it to. It can still work, but a better fitting button up would make it better. I knotted my shirt at the waist but the top is a little bulky for the pants.
Back to the red, white and blue theme. I paired these pants with this dotted camp shirt and used the red accessories again. Red works so well with the chambray.
Last, I paired these pants with a scalloped neck tee and a neck scarf. I chose simple gold hoop earrings so the earrings and scarf would not compete with one another.
You can get these pants and tops from JCrew Factory on sale today. Be sure to check out my list of Memorial Day Sales.
It’s also time to register for the GYPO Summer 2019 Capsule Wardrobe. Don’t miss out on the fun. You won’t have to think about what to wear all summer long.
