Wow, this is another month where I’m almost embarrassed to share my spending. I’ve been doing a lot of spring shopping and curating my wardrobe for work and weekends.
Let’s start with Amazon purchases. Be sure to check out my try on/review of spring and Easter dresses from Amazon too.

1 – K-Swiss sneakers- I decided I’d get in on the white sneaker trend. I tried three pair before I found the winners. Addidas didn’t fit my heels. I tried the Old Navy sneakers and while they are cute for $20, they are exactly that next to the K-Swiss sneakers- a $20 pair of sneakers. The K-Swiss is much better made and far more comfortable with a lot more padding. Some of the reviews said they were too clunky and stiff, but I don’t find that to be the case. There are lighter sneakers out there, but these don’t feel like bricks either. And for what it’s worth, my husband has complimented these sneakers twice now.
2- Sojos polarized sunglasses– My old sunglasses were too big and constantly sliding down my face. So annoying. I’m in love with these! I got the tortoise frame with brown lens and I don’t squint at all when wearing these. They come in other frame and lens colors too.
3- Nine West Gold Suede Mule- I first tried these knotted espadrilles from Old Navy, but they were a little short on my feet and the outline of my big toes showed through the top. No thanks! I went on a search for gold espadrilles and found these on Amazon. I’m in love. They stay on my feet and they are comfortable.
4- Daily Ritual bunch sleeve top– This is one of those comfy tops you want to wear everyday! It comes in 6 colors and a stripe. Here’s the top on me with Amazon essentials polka dot pants. I returned the pants because I thought they were a little too casual for work and I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the fit (about 95% but not 100%,lol).
5- Raw Fusion plant based protein powder- The hubby and I both use this stuff and it was time to restock. We got a 4 lb vanilla and a 2 lb chocolate. It will probably last us 4-6 months.
That’s it for Amazon. Moving on to other retailers/ purchases-
9- JCrew Factory Scallop tee- I had to size up to a medium in this one, but usually wear a small. The color is sunbaked rose. It doesn’t stretch much, so I’m guessing that’s why I had to size up. I also ordered the perfect fit striped open neck tee in navy/ivory and it fits well in small.
10- JCrew chambray utility drawstring pant- I normally take a medium or larger in bottoms but had to size down to small in these. I’m dipping my toes in the wide leg trend. I’m definitely going to have to wear these with a heel or wedge to keep from looking stumpy.
I also tried these striped wide leg crop pants from JCPenney. I highly recommend them for petites if you want to try a dressier version of a wide leg crop. I didn’t keep them because I was afraid I would not wear them enough to justify the purchase since I can’t wear them to work, but I would not surprise myself if I repurchase them in the future.
Both my black and white jeans are beginning to lose their stretch. The black pair is faded and both pair are stretched out and refuse to bounce back anymore. I ordered this pair of black skinnies as a replacement, and just like their name, they are soft as butter! Instantly feel great on. I’m still doing some fit testing around the house, but I’m pretty sure I’m keeping them. I also ordered this tee in the stripe and two solids ( a pink and teal). There are still a few sizes left in neutral colors.
