Hello and Happy Weekend! And happy March! Day 60 of 2019. This year is speeding along. Today is just a mash up of a few late winter outfits I’ve worn lately and my usual randomness for Five for Friday. It’s been a busy week and we have a busy (but fun) weekend ahead (details here, ICYMI).

ONE- Outfits lately
I’m going back and to between winter and spring outfits because that’s how our weather fluctuates here, but when it’s been “winter” or what we call winter my go to office outfit has been a blazer and scarf.

I’m back to lighter layers like vests for the weekends and ankle booties vs tall boots.

TWO- Books I completed in February
I completed six books! Another record for the person who hasn’t read a book in years. I started a couple of them in January and completed them in February. I’m trying to read a mix of fiction and non-fiction each month.
Fiction:
Her Last Goodbye– A crime thriller with lots of twists and turns. Morgan and Lance are just so likeable. This is book 2 in the series. I read and listen to these. I’ll be reading more of the series.
A Curve in the Road– Immediately sucks you in. I read and listened.
True Places A beautiful story of discovery about self and others. I read and listened.
You Are A Badass- I listened to this one completly on audible. If you want a humerous, lighter take on self improvement, read this one. If you want a more academic approach, read 7 Habits below. I probably would not rate You are a Badass as high as everyone else, but then again I’ve read four similar self help books in the past two months and they all have some of the same information and themes- affirmations, letting go of perfectionism, etc. Maybe I would have liked this one more if I had not already heard/read some of the info before recently.
7 Habits of Highly Effective People – I read and listened. I almost gave up altogether trying to read this one, but switched to listening on audible and it was much better. I kept thinking I should be in a college lecture when I was reading. Covey is a decent speaker/narrator so I was more into it listening to him. The information is good but it takes a while for him to get to the 7 habits and gets a bit drawn out.
Manage Your Day-to-Day This is an easy read but not great.
THREE- I tried out a new setting powder for the under eye area because the crepey skin and wrinkles are getting bad and setting my concealer really just makes it look worse because it dries out that area. The Becca under eye brightening setting powder is far better than my other powder. I’m now using this under the eye and my regular powder on the rest of my face.
FOUR- This embroidered top from Jane is super cute for spring. Comes in five colors.

FIVE- Another fun Amazon find. This will be in my cart soon. Make up brush cleaner. Not for deep cleaning but for removing color so you can switch colors without switching brushes. Genius!
