It’s been a while since there’s been a work to weekend post on here, so it’s time. You work hard for your money and clothing, so getting extra mileage from pieces that fit more than one occasion or lifestyle is important. My favorite pieces are the ones that I can take from work to weekend outfits quickly and easily. This JCrew Turtleneck tee is a great piece for going from work to weekend.

While I wouldn’t normally wear a tee to the office, a turtleneck tee is an appropriate type of tee to wear to the office. The turtleneck is like a collar of sorts, and makes it a little more polished. Pair it up with a blazer, and you’ve got the perfect preppy office outfit.

This turtleneck tee pairs nicely with grey ankle pants and plaid flats. The flats are not a loud bold pattern so they allow for nice subtle office appropriate pattern mixing. This turtleneck tee is the JCrew Mercantile version from Amazon. I sized up to a medium to get a looser fit. I don’t like clingy turtlenecks.
This same outfit, color palette and all switches easily to a weekend outfit. The turtleneck tee is the same, but paired with grey jeans and a burgundy utility vest for a more casual look. The plaid flats would work too, but leopard booties add a little contrast to the outfit. A pair of leopard flats or pumps would work in the office work version too. A casual tote is perfect for a weekend outfit.

Use this color pallette for inspiration and change out the topper as you like. This moto jacket would make a great completer piece for the weekend version too, as a cardigan would work for the office or weekend look.
