Hi all! I hope you all had a blessed and wonderful Christmas! We had a nice time with both families and received far more than we need or deserve. I know I said I might not be here this week, but I was putting together some outfits for the GYPO style challenge and other stuff for future blog posts, and this outfit hit me as the perfect at home New Year’s Eve entertaining outfit. Since next week would be a little late, I decided to go ahead and post in hopes some of you might find some last minute inspiration. (This post contains affiliate links. We generally stay in and cook some of our favorite finger foods for New Year’s Eve. We watch movies until midnight (if we can stay awake that long, lol). I usually don’t even worry about what to wear for New Year’s Eve. It’s a sweatpants or pajama evening. However, if I wanted to dress up, this outfit would be perfect and still as comfortable as pajamas for staying in. So even if you are staying in or entertaining a few friends at home, consider this outfit. If you do decide to run out, you will be dressed to go.
This outfit is made up of Loft curvy skinny velvet jeans (they come in other cuts for other figures) and a velvet cami, topped by a cardigan and made jazzy with a statement necklace. Both velvet pieces are so soft and comfy. I even wore these pants for traveling all day yesterday. Even if you only have one velvet piece, you can pull this off. Use a plain cami with velvet pants or a velvet cami with your favorite comfy black pants. Velvet says it’s a special outfit for a special occasion, but it’s still comfy enough to enjoy yourself, whether you stay in or go out.

Adding a statement necklace is the icing on the outfit cake and adds a little sparkle. Do you stay in or go out for New Year’s Eve? What’s your perfect outfit for New Year’s Eve entertaining or celebrating?
