I went into JCPenney over the weekend to do some Christmas shopping. I saw so many cute things and I had to try them on and share them with you. This try on session includes dresses and active wear. JCPenney Black Friday prices are active online right now. Let’s get started. This post contains affiliate links. I make a small commission from your purchases through my links.
First, this cute cowl neck plaid dress. Plaid and the cowl are what caught my eye. The cowl is actually removable. It buttons on in the back. Score! You can change the look instantly and have two dresses in one. I love the modest length. It’s a polyester blend, but it’s soft and cozy like a wool fleece. Online it’s available in petite and in black and white (or will be when if it’s restocked- I see it;s almost sold out, boo!) I tried on an 8, but could wear a 6. They also have a ruffle sleeve shift version of this pattern with no cowl, but I did not see it in my store.
Next is this short sleeve plaid shift dress. I am in love. So soft and cozy. Perfect with tall boots. I tried it on in a small. It also comes in a wine color. Throw on blazer with this and it would be perfect for work. Add some edge with a moto jacket for after work. My favorite moto jacket from JCPenney is also on sale now.
Last is this burgundy fit and flare dress with bell sleeves. It’s a sweater dress. I sized up to a medium and would wear some kind of shapewear with it because it was still a snug fit. It looks like a cute holiday party dress if the fit is good for you.
This toggle wrap is super cute too. Let’s pretend I have a different shirt with it- horizontal stripes would work or a solid, not the one I have on. This wrap is soft and cozy, but really lightweight and not heavy at all. It’s a good length for petites too, and a steal at $14.99
JCP has Columbia fleece jackets at half off so this one came home with me for our upcoming cold weather trip. I didn’t have one before now.
I like for my atheleisure or active wear to have a little more detail than just plain tees and sweatshirts, so a couple of pieces caught my eye. This top has shirred, ruched side details and lace panels. I’m trying it with St. Johns Bay leggings which come in petites and are decent for their sale price. I would not pay full price for the leggings, but I have a pair and they are great for around the house or a quick trip out with proper coverage. I tried the top in a small but need to size up to medium.
This top also has cinching on the side and I’d size up to medium or maybe even large if I purchased it. It is super soft and comfy, so I may put it on my wish list. It’s a little snug in the hip area in a small.
I hope this helps out with your shopping. If you like these try on session posts, let me know. I have another one coming in the near future with some Amazon finds.
