The most assured way to look great in red pants, or any other color or item, is to make sure they fit properly. I’ve lost a little weight and these are a little big on me, but the flowy silhouette lets me get away with wearing them a little big. Red is a bold attention grabbing color, so fit is key. Nothing too tight, nothing too baggy. Make sure the cut and fit are right for you. If you want to go with red ankle pants, that’s fine too, just make sure they are not too short. You don’t want an awkward crop on your legs in bright pants. You don’t have to be afraid of wearing red to the office as long as you choose an office appropriate style of pants.
Let the red pants take center stage. Red pairs nicely with neutrals like browns, taupe, beige and camel. I’ve paired my red pants with my camel blazer (one of my closet favorites). Add a solid top or a pattern top with just a hint of red. I like how this top is mostly blues, but has a bit of red that pops. Red also pairs nicely with black and white and with navy during the summer. I like pairing it with camel and browns for fall vibes. I added simple gold jewelry to compliment this outfit.
