The baker boy hat is the easiest fall hat to wear. It looks good on girls and ladies with both long and short hair. The baker boy hat is my favorite hat to wear this time of year.

If you think hats aren’t for you, venture out and try a baker boy hat. It won’t overwhelm your face or frame. You can dress them up or down and pretty much find one that goes with anything. I added this corduroy one to my collection last month. It’s sold out now, but there are still lots of options available out there. I love blush and olive together, so I paired my hat with my blush vest and book ended the look with my olive booties.
It’s time for another edition of Five for Friday. It’s been another long week. I worked three hours of overtime in the first two days. I’m salaried so it’s just time lost. I’m more than happy that it’s Friday.
1. Last Sunday the hubby and I went shopping to fill shoesboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Have you heard of this? We have participated for several years. It’s the most amazing ministry. I think we are going to pay for shipping online so we can track our boxes and see where they end up. We got most of our box goodies at the Dollar Tree. We have the most fun packing our shoe boxes.
2. While we were in the Dollar Tree, I picked up a couple of items for our niece- a journal, and notepad. We do a lot of small gifts with gift cards now that most everyone is grown up. For some reason everyone thinks they still have to have something to unwrap, so they get these small gifts with gift cards attached. Don’t forget you can order in bulk from the Dollar Tree to fill all those gift baskets, teacher gifts, etc. Order with a friend and split the order.
3. What’s on your current wish list? I’m shopping for new tall boots because my black riding boots by Lifestride bit the dust last year. They made it through 7 years so I can’t complain. I really want a nice taupe or beige pair this time, but I need a wide calf option. I want a little heel and to be able to wear them dressy and casual. Yep, I’m very picky and I want one pair that does it all!
4. I started listening to Christmas music yesterday. Anyone else? I caught myself singing Christmas carols in the shower last weekend. I’m normally not into Christmas this early, other than thinking about gifts. I like to celebrate each holiday individually but since Christmas songs are on my brain, I’m going with it. Maybe packing shoesboxes had something to do with it.
5. The Fashion Friday deal at Cents of Style is 50% off, yes 50% off select sweaters. This makes prices $9.99 to $19.99! The code is FRIDAYSWEATERS.
