Now on to TBB Asks! Thanksgiving edition.
As a kid, Thanksgiving wasn’t really exciting, but as an adult it’s become one of my favorite holidays.
- Have you ever kept a gratitude journal? Yes, a few years back I tried to do a scrapbook of sorts for the month of November for the hubby and I. It was a daily gratitude journal, but sadly we couldn’t even finish the month! It’s not that we did have things we are grateful for, I just didn’t have time to put the book together and keep up with it. It’s still around her somewhere.
- Hosting Thanksgiving at your house? No, we go to the parents and in-laws.
- Favorite food from the Thanksgiving meal? Do I have to pick! It used to be dumplings, but now that I’m gluten free it’s the sweet potato casserole.
- What one thing in Nature are you most grateful for? Sunrises/sunsets. I love being outdoors and hiking, so this one was hard to narrow down.
- Pumpkin pie: Yes or No? Heck yes! Even the paleo version I make.
- Traditional cookbook: Yes or No? I’ve collected lots of them, but now I use digitial versions and pinterest.
- Oven baked or deep fried turkey? We have oven baked but I love a good deep fried one.
- Thanksgiving leftovers: Yes or No? Yes, yes yes. For breakfast even. Eat them until there gone, because who has time to shop on Black Friday?
- What is one household product you are most grateful for? The irobot roomba vacuum. It really does get up pet hair that the regular vac misses and from places only the irobot can go. The hubby runs it from his phone, so I no longer have to do floors!
- Are you most grateful for home cooked meals or restaurant meals? Home cooked! So much better for you.
Have a great day!
