I hope everyone had a great weekend. Are you all set for the Fourth of July? If I were really on top of it as a blogger, I’d have a Fourth of July look for you. I’m not, so I’ve got gingham mules for you today. I’ll refer you here and here for Fourth of July looks.
Even though I purchased a pair of gingham slides for the summer, I could not resist these gingham mules with the block heels. A girls got to have options, you know? Flat for casual wear and heels to dress it up a bit.

These gingham mules are one of those purchases I fretted over. I already had the flat slides, but I wanted a heel option too. I didn’t need them and I can’t wear them to work, but I wanted them. I popped over to the JCPenney site to check them out again one day and was able to snag them for less than $20 during a sale with coupons. SOLD! At that price point, I didn’t feel so bad about getting them. I also told you I planned to get more use out of this long ignored top and I meant it. I thought the black and white in it would go perfectly with these shoes, and floral, stripes and gingham are a fun mix of patterns. While some of you in a more casual office could wear this look to work, I cannot, so I put this look together for church last week. It’s one of those that I felt good in and had fun wearing. Aren’t those the best kinds of outfit?
My earrings are from Pearls an Rocks. I see tons of other cute earrings I’d also like to have from them. Check out these bar and hoop earrings, rectangle tortoise, and the poppy tassel earrings. Save 20% with code SSCHIC.
