This outfit features mostly all new pieces. I was getting bored with work wear and placed an order from Loft for a couple of pieces to freshen up my work wear during the Fourth of July sales. And I’m actually get a post out to you while the pieces are still current. I can sometimes be a terrible blogger and not even blog new pieces until they are no longer available for you to shop. Then again, the point isn’t to shove new things at you for you to buy. While I always appreciate you shopping my links, the point of my blog is really to inspire you to wear your existing wardrobe in ways maybe you had not thought about.

Am I the only one that takes all new pieces and wears them at once in an outfit? Do you do this? Or do you savor each piece, and wear it one by one? I could not help myself because the top and pants work so well together. I didn’t buy them just to wear together and will certainly wear them separately, but I also could not stop thinking of other combinations of shoes and blazers to wear with the top and pants together. Navy blazer+ red shoes. Red blazer + navy shoes. You see where this is going? Sometimes a couple of new pieces is all it takes to spark a little creativity.
I am really rough on white and off white blazers. After a while, they just don’t come clean and the collars and cuffs are just not presentable. I have been looking for a new white blazer all summer and just have not found one I wanted to invest in. I know I’m only going to get a couple of seasons wear out of one before it gets too dingy, so I really did not want to invest too much. For that reason, I decided to give this super inexpensive blazer from Amazon a try. I was pleasantly surprised with it. I will warn you, you are getting what you are paying for. But it works. It looks presentable. This blazer is lined, but the lining is thin. The outer material is thin too, making it pretty lightweight for summer. This color is off white, and depending on the light you are in, it can look more ivory/yellow tint than a bright white. It also comes in eight other colors.
Hope you all have a great week!
