The faux fur stole can be a fun piece to have in your closet. I grabbed one at the end of the 2016 season on clearance. They haven’t been the most popular, over the top item, but you do see them here and there. I think they will always be a classic in some ways. So if you have seen them and been curious about how to wear them, here are four ways I wore mine this winter.

1. With a cream/white sweater + velvet pants– Faux fur and velvet- such a luxurious winter combination. I kept it on the casual side with the sweater and booties, but this combo could be dressed up a lot. (See three ways to wear these velvet pants here, two of them with this same sweater+pants combo.)

3. Cream/white sweater+burgundy jeans+leopard  booties This time I also wore it just over one shoulder instead of around the neck. I just taped the ties up in place so they would not hang down.

I hope this gives you some inspiration on how to wear a faux fur stole. You can adapt these outfits to a fur pull through scar or infinity scarf as well. Or sub a faux fur vest for the stole or scarf.
